It's The Fair

The Tulsa State Fair comes the first part of October and we generally try to go.

I remember getting out of school and going to the Utah State Fair.  It was a big day and probably the only day that we were able to skip school for recreation. We would go and see animals, exhibits, see all the canned and baked goods, prizes, ride the rides, see some funny people, and get to eat some fair food.

The fair hasn't changed much.  Although we didn't see many exhibits or animals this go around it doesn't mean they weren't there...we just didn't have enough time mainly because we didn't get out of school/work and went on a Monday evening.  But we did have a blast riding rides and eating some interesting food.  We ate so much weird, fattening food and rode some crazy rides that our bellies ached by the time we went home.  But it was all worth it.

The Food:

This is a Krispy Kreme Donut Hamburger!
YUP!! That's right a hamburger whose bun is a donut..
sounds pretty weird
but is actually kinda good.

Abby was the one that wanted to try the donut hamburger.
We walked all over the fair and finally found it
She is Happy!!!

BBQ Turkey Leg
I look like I haven't eaten in 10 years!!

We ate corn dogs, turkey legs, corn on a stick, funnel cakes, lemonades, and donut hamburgers!!  Does that sound like it would give you a tummy ache?  Then Lacey, Abby, Lexi, Dayton went riding all the rides that make you sick and Chase, Davis and I went to the kiddy section and rode rides.  By the time 10:30 pm came around we had had our fill of the fair...until next year  :)
