Taming the Wilderness

The majority of my work this week involved yard work!!

I am trying to get some grass to grow in this wilderness and it is an ominous task to say the least

Before we left for New Mexico the first part of April
I planted this portion in grass seed.
When we came home it was just popping up.
Unfortunately a rain storm came and washed some of the seed away
I have replanted that area and hope that the seed will take.
It will be pretty when I get it all covered with grass!!
My hostas are coming up!
I need to get some pesticide on them so the bugs don't eat them up like they did last year...
any suggestion of what to do?

Here is my hydrangea that I thought I had killed!!

I hope it blooms this year!

Any suggestions with this one?

Lavor is also working on the sprinkling system.  There are several brakes in the line and some heads are broken...always something to fix!!

  1. Looks great! It took me awhile to even recognize where the grass was, you've done a ton of work!
