It's football season
again!! And we always look forward to the Jenks/Union kick-off game. Typically it is a big rivalry between the two and I am sure it was the same this year. But for some reason it just didn't seem like it. The game was kinda lackluster for me... Maybe it was because for the past 3 or 4 years Jenks has lost...kinda hard to get excited when you lose. Oh well, It was fun anyway just being at a football game. And it just so happened that this game was on a night with a blue moon! No the moon isn't blue but that it not what a blue moon is. When there is a full moon twice in one month then it is called a blue moon and it happens only every so often, hence the coined phrase, "Once in a blue moon".Lacey and the boys...
The night was warm with a slight breeze and so the weather was comfortable.
And this is how the boys entertained themselves for most of the game. Thankfully it wasn't overly crowded and the people sitting next to us understood little boys and how they love to drive trucks up and down the bleachers. (smile)
And by the way, the score ended up being 14 to 7 for Union...
Why is it such a big game? Is it like the Orem Provo games of old? Good job on the Blue Moon thing. I was trying to tell Becca and Sherisse, and they weren't having it. They thought I was kidding them, because there was a slight bluish tint to the Moon for some reason. Arg, Women!
