The Last Two Weeks

The last few months these 2 brothers have become buddies.
I guess now Davis is old enough to be interesting to Chase
And Davis thinks the world revolves around Chase
kinda cute...

Love the Zombie expressions...

My Dad and Mom came for a visit this past week.
Not for any reason other than to visit.

It's not an easy trip...1200 miles to be exact.
It takes two long days of traveling to get to Tulsa from Utah.

I am so thankful they come
because we don't get many visitors especially family
to come see us.
And you never know what next year will bring...

We celebrated Grandpa's 86th birthday on Tuesday.

He said he couldn't really remember any birthday's growing up.
He didn't think that he had birthday cakes or parties...

So we did it right!!
Starting with a birthday feast of enchiladas, salad and corn.

And we made "gluten free" cupcakes.
They were surprising delicious!!
Very moist!

And had the tradional birthday song with blowing out of candles!

Here is the 3 headed fat lady...
hahahah
(silly girls)

Yesterday was Chase's last soccer game

Mighty proud of his medal...

We got word last night that Grandpa and Grandma made it home safely.  But not after they travelled through rain and even a snow storm in Colorado!!
Who would think that in May it would snow????

Again it was so good to see my mom and dad
and visit with them.
Like I said before you never know what the next year will bring
and with the passing of Lavor's father
you never know when the last time you will see loved ones...

Some of the highlights were:
Grandpa's birthday
putting puzzles together
going to the OKC temple
painting the bathroom
having dad get my piano "unstuck"
and just plain visiting!
:)

hey, does anyone know what these are?
We found them on our grill...
some kind of spider eggs I think..
If you have any idea let me know...

  2. I got to see Grandma and Grandpa right before they left to visit you when I went up to visit Shane with my parents. I love my grandpa and I'm glad he had you all to celebrate with!
